Welcome to ZeeFi. You might know us as Study Loans because that’s how we started about four years ago with the goal of removing finance as a barrier for students pursuing quality education.
We learned a lot about students and education providers over the years, including one really big thing: you have unique needs when it comes to finance and no one was focusing on them. So we did. Here’s a short story about our graduation from Study Loans to ZeeFi, and what it means for you.
The evolution of education finance
Sometimes when you start solving one problem, others crop up in its place. That’s what happened when we set out to remove the financial red tape preventing students from accessing quality education. We realised that finance was not just a barrier for students, but a burden for education providers and a handbrake on their enrolments.
There’s not one solution to solve these problems because students are not all the same, and neither are education providers. So we evolved our business from one product to a one-stop shop for the education sector with a suite of fintech solutions designed to help students fulfill their potential, and education providers to grow and achieve their goals.
And with our evolution to become the only fintech specialist for the education sector, we realised it was time our brand evolved too.
Why ZeeFi?
Like any brand, we wanted ours to reflect what we stand for. We talked to our people and our customers to zero in on this, acknowledging who we are, what we do and why we do it.
We chose ZeeFi because it reflects speed, ease and of course, finance. In a nutshell, that’s what we’re here for – to zip up the gaps in education finance, providing a seamless experience for students and providers. We think ZeeFi symbolises that.
Our investment in our products and new brand shows how committed we are to providing the most innovative and relevant finance solutions in education. You could say we cover the A to Z(ee) of education finance.
What to expect from us
Firstly, keep an eye out for ZeeFi online, anywhere you normally see us and maybe in a few new places as we raise awareness of our new brand.
On a deeper level, we’re working to the ZeeFi principles of being smart, empowering, focused and responsive. That means we will continually refine our offering to you and develop new solutions that simplify education finance for students and providers to accelerate personal and professional growth. Here’s a snapshot of our current products.
STUDY NOW PAY LATER – The only buy now pay later product designed especially for education. It enables students to finance their education in a way that suits them, and helps providers grow enrolments and improve cashflow thanks to upfront payments.
PAYMENT ASSIST – Personalised payment plans for students. We manage the plans from end-to-end so students can get on with their education while providers receive reliable income.
VOCATIONAL LOANS – Flexible loans for students, where government help is unavailable (for courses valued between $2,000 and $20,000)
CASH SOLUTIONS – These include our Portfolio Purchase and Cash Advance options offered to accredited partners, each designed to release captive funds for education providers:
- Portfolio Purchase means we purchase part of a provider’s existing book of student payment plans so they can access the cash early and remove the risk of non-payment.
- Cash Advance means we lend to a provider against their student payment portfolio so they can use the funds as they need them, with no early repayment fees.
